Medium: Kato polyclay sculpture made with custom blended bamboo fibre and faux cashmere top plumage. Real peregrine falcon feathers were supplied by the client to make up the fibre work of the wings and tail.

The eyes are set with A grade Onyx stone.

The history of the Peregrine falcon goes back to ancient times where they were respected and honoured birds. The peregrine falcon is native to Egypt, and the Egyptian god Horus, was depicted as having the head of a falcon.

A pet portrait sculpture of Jamie, a custom made miniature red tailed hawk.

Red tail hawk sculptures are made from Kato Polyclay, eyes are set with semi precious stone or glass. Plumage is made from naturally moulted feathers and plant fibres.

Red-tailed hawks are found throughout the United States. They are considered to have powers of protection and are said to be visionaries of the Air.
